Bring Your Style To Your Engagement Shoot!

So many couples get caught caught up in choosing a location or an outfit that they forget to plan their shoot around who they are. If your a couple that likes being at home then why not have it at home? If you like nature then why don't you go out and take a hike or go to the beach! Ask yourself what your combined hobbies are or what makes you feel connected together?

Bring along items that have meaning to you.

Its a given to bring along the ring but think about bringing something that carries meaning with the two of you. Think about bringing along your favorite team jersey or some cute hand written signs with messages on them. Little things can really personalize your photos and take them to the next level.

Choose clothing that you are comfortable in.

We can not stress this enough! Wear something that you are comfortable in!!! Don't try and slide into last years skinny jeans (even if you can). If your clothes are uncomfortable it will show in your face and in your interactions and so it is super important to wear something your comfortable (and stylish) in. That means if you don't like your legs then wear pants. If you don't like how your arms look consider wearing a blazer. It's also super important to let your photographer know what areas you want to avoid so they can make sure to capture you at all the right angles!

Choose an outfit that compliments your partner.

Number one, choose an outfit your comfortable in. Number two, choose an outfit that works with what your partners wearing. Consider where you are going to do a photo shoot and also try and choose your clothes around that.

Have a quick "get to know you" session with your photographer

This one tip can help make everything go so much smoother. Once you have choosen a location and an outfit see if your photographer has time to have a quick video chat or even meet you at a local coffee shop. Getting to know your photographer will help make you feel more comfortable and confident the day of your photo shoot!.
