How much do engagement photos cost?
To start of this article we wanted to talk about the number one thing on every ones mind and that is cost. How much do engagement photos cost to take? The answer along with most things in life is it depends. However, we have put together some average cost for Central Florida engagement photographers.For most photographers in and around Orlando you can expect the average cost of an engagement shoot to be between $200-500 dollars.
Most engagement shoots are usually 60 minutes at one location with one outfit change. Most engagement photographers will send you all the images through an online gallery. However, some engagement photographers will INCLUDE engagement sessions in their pricing when you book one of their wedding packages. Make sure you consider that before choosing your wedding photographer or videographer. If you aren't quite ready to book them as your wedding photographer most will offer you a credit from the engagement session towards whatever wedding package you choose.
How soon after getting engaged should I take our engagement photos?
Your engagement photos can get used a lot throughout your engagement and event your wedding. They can be used for your wedding website, to send out invitations, or even as a gift for your friends and family showing off the two of you. As you start to think about your engagement and planning your wedding you will want to make sure you include time for your engagement photos. We usually recommend to have your engagement photos within 1-2 months of getting engaged and before you get carried away with your wedding planning.
Am I expected to tip an engagement photographer?
Tipping for an engagement session is not necessary. However, if you felt your engagement photographer went above and beyond or if your engagement session ran a little long because of weather or something else then tipping would definitely be appreciated.
What is the best time of day to take engagement photos?
Depending on the type of photos and the location you are shooting we recommend getting to your location 1-2 hours before sunset. For beach and open fields usually about 1 hour before sunset will get you the soft glowy magical light everyone seeks. If you are going to be shooting around buildings then 2-3 hours before sunset is important because most of the time your photographer will have you in the shade and you don't want your photos to come out dark and dingy.
